The Secret In order to dance and perform in high heels for 10 hours a day, every day for weeks at a time- Broadway dancers workout daily to a prescribed "leg work" routine. This keeps dancers strong, fit and prevents injury while performing in heels. Without professional athletic training and instruction, dancers could never withstand the grueling and relentless performances in heels. To make the cut as a professional Broadway performer, dancers must train formally for a minimum of six years. The strength, grace and athleticism achieved through many years of rigorous training provides dancers the ability to endure back to back performances in high heels. Tested and proven through many generations, professional dance training incorporates the best athletic practices drawn from the fields of dance, ballet, pilates, podiatry, fitness and sports medicine. Health and medical attention is also very important to dancers. Dancers’ legs and feet are constantly checked and monitored by their “dancer doctors” who prescribe specific exercises and relief techniques for before and after their performances in heels. LEGWORK is the first and only workout to teach women, of any athletic ability, the advanced heel wearing fitness and training routines of professional Broadway dancers. The LEGWORK workout was created and designed by high heel shoe designers, top Broadway dancers and ballerinas with the advise from fitness experts and podiatrists. LEGWORK DVD: The Workout and How to Walk in High Heels LEGWORK is a 30 minute, non aerobic, strength building, toning and sculpting workout designed specifically for sexy high heel wearing, high heel fitness and high heel health. LEGWORK targets, strengthens and tones the core (stomach & back muscles), legs: thighs, calves, ankles and feet. LEGWORK is not a workout in heels. The concept was spurred by the many unfortunate injuries and pain suffered by women in heels in contrast to the remarkable performance and endurance in heels enjoyed by professional Broadway dancers. Soon after, Victor and Cece teamed up with Rockette and Lion King dancer Kylin Brady and designed the LEGWORK instructional and fitness workout. Cece Chin is an ex accessories designer for Michael Kors and Calvin Klein. Victor Chu is a former designer for Polo Ralph Lauren.
